About Living Springs

We are a small church, with a passion for Christ and for people.

We are a part of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand.

Our building is 102 years old, set on a hill alongside the high street. It was originally a Methodist church and was built by the community in a single day.

The Pastor

Pastor Te Rina Ormond

Te Rina has pastored the church since 2019. She was born in Wairoa and grew up in Southland.

she is a registered nurse with 26 years of experience. She currently works part time for the Waikato DHB as a public health nurse.

She was saved and baptised in 2006. In 2015 she was ordained as an Assembly of God Pastor.

Putaruru

Putaruru is a rural Waikato town between Tirau and Tokoroa. It has a population of just under 5000. It is famous for the crystal clear blue springs just north of the town. Farming, forestry and timber are the main industries.

It is from the Blue Springs that the inspiration for the church's name comes.

For the Lamb at the centre of the throne will be their shepherd; "he will lead them to springs of living water." "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." ' Revelation 7:17
